Pav baji


Potato- 1/2 cup
Cauliflower- 1/4 cup
Tomato- 1/2 cup
Capsicum- 1/4 cup
Green peas- 1/4 cup
Carrot & Beans- 1/4 cup
Onion- 1/2 cup
Butter-4-5 tbl sp
Ginger-garlic paste- 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
Chilly powder- 1/4 tsp
Pav baji masala- 2-3 tbl sp
Coriander leaves- few
Water- As required


Cook all the chopped vegetables.

Melt butter in a pan and roast the cumin seeds,onion,ginger-garlic paste, tomato & capsicum.

Now add turmeric powder, chilly powder, pav baji masala & salt. Mash it well.

Add mashed vegetables; also mash it in pan using potato masher.

Add water; cook in low flame to adjust the consistency.
Finally add chopped coriander leaves, lemon juice and butter.

Cut the pav bun and  roast it by applying butter.

Serve hot pav with baji.

  • You can also serve few chopped onions, coriander leaves & a piece of lemon.
  • Add tsp of butter over baji while serving.
