Dal Palak - Palak Rasam


Palak leaves- 1 bunch
Toor dal- 1 cup
Rasam powder- 2-4 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
Green chilly- 1
Ginger paste- 1/2 tsp
Jaggery to taste
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves- few
Curry leaves- few
Red chily- 1
Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
Oil- 2 tsp


Chop the palak and other vegetables.

Cook the dal in pressure cooker.

Now cook the tomato, onion and palak leaves.

Add jaggary,salt,ginger paste,green chilly,rasam powder & turmeric powder.

Now add cooked dal and bring upto boil. Adjust the consistency as per your choice.

Finally add tampering and chopped coriander leaves.

Note: I have added less dal than mentioned and the consistency is also thin so that the picture is not good.
