Chilli Bajji


Bajji chilli- 4
Besan- 1/2 cup
Rice flour- 1/4 cup
Asafoetida - 1/8 tsp
Ajwain seeds or Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil - for frying


Wash the chillies and dry using a clean cloth.

Prepare the batter by mixing basan, rice flour, asafoetida,ajwain seeds, chilly powder, salt & required amount of water. (The batter should easily coat the chillies. It should not be too thick or thin)

Slit the chilly lengthwise(Split into two but not completely). Remove the seeds to reduce the spiciness.

Dip the chilly in the batter and deep fry until golden colour.
