Ingreddients:

Raw Rice - 2 cups
Grated coconut - One handful
Cooked rice - One handful (You could also use puffed rice/aval instead)
Sugar - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste

Recipe:

Soak the rice for about 4-5 hours.

Grind thr soaked rice, coconut and cooked rice together until smooth.

Add salt and sugar and mix well.Keep the batter for fermentation overnight.

Pour a ladlful of batter in the appam pan and spread using circular motion by holding the handle.

Serve with chutney, sambar or sweet coconut milk.
