Vermicelli- Shavige kheer

Ingredients:

Vermicelli- 1 cup or One handfull if using sticks
Sugar- 1/2 cup
Grated Coconut- 1 cup
Cardamom powder- 1/4 tsp
Raisins, cashews, almonds- Few
Ghee- 1 tbl sp
Saffron strands-Few (optional)

Recipe:

Roast the vermicelli adding little ghee till golden colour.

Roast the dry fruits adding little ghee. Keep it aside.

Grind the coconut with 1 cup water & extract coconut milk.

Cook the vermicelli adding 2 cups water.

When it is perfectly cooked add coconut milk and sugar. Cook upto boil.

Add saffron stands, cardamom powder and roasted dry fruits.

Note: Cow's milk can be added instead of coconut milk.
