Custard powder ice cream

Ingredients:

Custard powder(Vanilla flavour)- 1 & 1/2 tbl sp
Sugar- 5 tbl sp
Milk- 2 cups
Fresh cream- 2 tbl sp

Recipe:

Boil the milk.

Prepare a smooth paste of custard powder in 3 tbl sp milk without any lumps.

Add this paste to the boiled milk. Stir it continuously in a low flame until dosa batter consistency.

Add sugar & switch off the flame.

Let the mixture get cool down completely.

Add fresh cream and blend it in mixer grinder for few minutes.

Transfer it to an airtight container. Freeze it for 2 hours.

Blend it in a mixer grinder. Again freeze it for 2 hours.

Blend the mixture about 4-5 times for every 2 hours freezing. This helps to avoid ice crystal formation.

Finally freeze it for about 8 hours.
Scoop out the ice cream & serve.

Note:

  • If you wish to add choco chips, nuts, tutti frutti etc; add after final blending.
  • If you want to make rich; add 2 tbl sp condensed milk while blending.
  • Use any flavoured custard powder.
