Mixed Vegetable Sambar

Ingredients:

Toor Dal -1/4cup
Tomato -1
Onion- 1
Carrot -1
Beans-8-10
Potato- 1
Green peas- one handfull
Turmeric powder- Small pinch
Tamarind- Small pinch
Jaggery- Small piece
Salt to taste
Ghee - 2 tsp
Green chilly- 1
Coriander leaves- Few
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
Grated coconut- 1/4 cup
Red chilly-2
Coriander seeds- 1 tsp
Urad dal- 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds- 1/4 tsp
Fenugreek seeds-1/4 tsp
Hing- 1/4tsp
Oil- 1 tsp.

For tampering:

Red chilly- 1
Urad Dal -1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds-1/4 tsp
Mustard Seeds -1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves - One strand
Ghee- 1 tsp

Recipe:

Pressure cook the dal.

Chop the vegetables and cook them by adding salt, jaggery, tamarind, turmeric powder.

Heat 1 tsp ghee in a pan and fry the red chilly, urad dall, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds & hing.

Prepare a ground masala of coconut & above fried ingredients.

Mix the cooked vegetables, masala paste and cooked dal.

Now just cook upto boil.
Mixed Vegetable Sambar
Add tampering.

Finally add chopped coriander leaves.
Note:

You can also add drumsticks, eggplant, brinjal or channa.
