Dill leaves Pakoda - ಸಬ್ಬಸಿಗೆ ಸೊಪ್ಪಿನ ಪಕೋಡ 


Chopped dill leaves- 1/2 cup
Chopped onion- 1/2 cup
Green chilly- 1
Besan flour – 1/2 cup
Cumin seeds- ½ tsp
Asafoetida- One small pinch
Turmeric powder- Pinch
Salt to taste
Oil to fry


1. Chop the onion into long thin slices, finely chop the dill leaves & green chilly.

2. Put the sliced onion, chopped dill leaves, green chilly, besan flour, cumin seeds, asafoetida, turmeric powder & salt in a bowl and mix it well; sprinkle little amount of water (Don't make the batter too thin).

3. Heat oil in a kadai; put 1 tbl sp of batter to make pakoda. Make 4-5 pakoda in each batch.

4. Fry until golden brown, remove and drain the excess oil on a paper.

5. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or chutney & a cup of tea.
