Uppu neeru sole(Raw jackfruit in brine) Majjige huli / Melogara / Melara

Ingredients:

Uppu neeru sole(Raw jackfruit in brine)- 2 cups
Green chilly- 1
Jaggary- 1 tsp
Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
Grated coconut- 1 cup
Thick buttermilk- 2 cups
Red chilly- 1
Urad dal- 1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds- ¼ tsp
Curry leaves- few
Oil- 1 tsp

Recipe:

Soak the brined jackfruit in water for about 4-5 hours to remove excess salt.
Discard the soaked water and wash again with fresh water.
Chop them & cook by adding jaggary, turmeric powder. (usualy addition of salt is not necessary. )
Grind the coconut, green chilly with little water. Add this ground paste to the cooked jackfruit.
Now add buttermilk and cook up to boil.
Finally add tampering.
