Soaked Channa- 2 cup
Onion- 2
Tomato- 2
Green chilly- 1
Ginger- Small piece
Garlic- 2
Cumin seeds powder- ¼ tsp
Coriander seeds powder- ½ tsp
Termeric powder- ¼ tsp
Chilly powder- 11/4 tsp
Garam masala powder- ½ tsp
Coriander leaves- few
Salt to taste
Oil- 2 tbl sp

  • Soak Channa in water for about 6-8 hour.
  • Cook the channa by adding salt in pressure cooker.
  • Finely chop the tomato and onion.
  • Grind the tomato, onion, green chilly, ginger and garlic to a fine paste. (Take only half of chopped onion & tomato for grinding)
  • (You can grind it after frying or without frying. Left to your choice.)
  • Fry the remaining chopped tomato & onion in 2 tbl sp oil.
  • Now add cooked channa, ground paste, turmeric powder, cumin seeds powder, coriander seeds powder & garam masala.
  • Add 1 cup water and cook for few minutes.
  • Once it gets the desired consistency switch off the flame.
  • Tastes good with chapati, poori or roti.
