Green gram Usuli - ಹೆಸರು ಕಾಳಿನ ಉಸುಲಿ 
Green gram Usuli

Ingredients:

Green gram- 1 cup
Salt to taste
Onion(finely chopped)- ¼ cup
Green chillies- 1-2
Ginger- one small piece
Grated coconut- 1/4 cup
Coriander leaves(finely chopped)- 1 tbl sp
lemon juice- 1-2 tsp
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Red chilly- 1
Urad dal-1 tsp
Curry leaves- few
Oil-1 tbl sp

Method:

Soak the green gram over night.

Wash the sprouted green gram and cook by adding salt & water(just sufficient to immerse).

Pressure cook the green gram up to 2 whistles.

Heat oil/ghee in a pan; fry the red chilly, urad dal, mustard seeds & curry leaves.

Fry the chopped onion, green chilly & ginger.

Now to this seasoning add the cooked green gram and mix well.

Finally add grated coconut, coriander leaves & lemon juice.

Mix it well & serve hot with tea or coffee.
