Avare kalu Upma - ಅವರೆ ಕಾಳಿನ ಉಪ್ಪಿಟ್ಟು 
Avare kalu Upma

Ingredients:

Semolina- 1 cup
Tomato- 1
Onion- 1
Avare kalu (Hyacinth beans)-1 cup
Green chilly- 1
Ginger- One small piece
Grated coconut- 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Sugar- 1 tsp
Water- 2&1/4 cups
Ghee- 4 tsp
Red chilly- 1
Urad dal- 1 tsp
Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves- 1 strand

Method:
Cook the avarekalu by adding little salt.

Roast the semolina by adding 1 tsp ghee for about 5 minutes in low flame and keep aside.

Heat 2 tbl sp ghee in a pan and tamper with red chilly, urad dal, mustard seeds & curry leaves.

Then add chopped onion, green chilly, ginger, tomato & fry it.

Now add roasted semolina, cooked avarekalu, sugar, salt & 2 cups water.

Cook well by continous stirring to avoid lumps.

Cook until the mixture is almost dry.

Finally add 2 tsp grated coconut and mix well.
