Corn flour Halwa / Krachi Halwa

Corn flour Halwa / Krachi Halwa
  • Corn flour- ½ cup
  • Sugar-1 cup
  • Water- 2 cups
  • Ghee- 2 tbl sp
  • Cashew nuts & Badam- ¼ cup
  • Cardamom powder- ¼ tsp
  • Food colour- small pinch

Mix the corn flour & food colour in 1 cup water without any lumps.
Prepare sugar syrup in a low flame; add sugar to 1 cup of water. Let the sugar dissolves completely. No need to check the consistency.

Fry the dry cashews & badam in 1 tsp ghee.
Now add corn flour mixture to the sugar syrup; keep on stirring to avoid lumps.
Add Ghee & cardamom powder; keep on stirring.
When the mixture leaves from sides of the pan & becomes a single whole mass; add fried cashews, badam & remaining ghee. Mix it well.
Switch off the flame and transfer the mixture to a ghee greased plate.
Let it cool and then cut to your desired shapes.
