Palak paneer

Palak paneer- ಪಾಲಕ್ ಪನೀರ್ 
Ingredients:
  • Palak leaves- 1 bunch
  • Paneer- 200 gm
  • Tomato- 2
  • Onion- 2
  • Green chilly- 1
  • Ginger- a small piece
  • Garlic- 3-4 flakes
  • Termeric powder- ¼ tsp
  • Chilly powder- ¼ tsp
  • Garam masala powder- 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida- a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Tamarind- to taste
  • Jaggery- to taste
Method:

1. Rinse & wash the palak leaves well in water.

2. Cook the palak leaves by adding salt, tamarind & jaggery.

3. Prepare a smooth paste out of cooked palak leaves.

4. Add 2 tsp ghee or oil in a pan & fry the cumin seeds.

5. Then fry the finely chopped onion & tomatoes.

6. Now add turmeric powder, chilly powder & garam masala & asafoetida; stir and fry for few seconds.

7. Pour the palak paste & add chopped paneer  into this pan.

8. Cook the mixture to boil.

9. Finally add 1 tblsp butter.

10. The delicious tasty palak paneer is ready to serve.

Note: This goes well with rice, chapati, poori & roti.
