Banana flower/kundige/poombe) subji

Banana flower/kundige/poombe) subji- ಬಾಳೆ ಹೂವಿನ ಪಲ್ಯ 

Ingredients:


  • Banana flower/kundige- 1
  • Salt to taste
  • Tamarind to taste
  • Jaggary to taste
  • Red hilly powder to taste
  • Grated coconut- 2 tbl sp
  • Oil- 2 tsp
  • Red chilly- 1
  • Urad dall-1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds- ¼ tsp
  • Curry leaves- 1 strand


Method:


1.Takeout 3-4 outer layers or covers and finely chop them & put in water; wash it once.


2.Take 2 tsp oil in a pan & fry the red chilly, urad dall & mustard seeds. Finally add curry leaves.

3.Now add chopped banana flowers, salt, jaggary, tamarind, chilly powder & water; cook well until water evaporates. 

4.Finally add Grated coconut and mix it well.
