Pasta Payasam / Macaroni Kheer

  • Macaroni- 1 cup
  • Jaggery- 1 cup (adjust according to your taste)
  • Coconut milk- 2.5 cup
  • Cardamom powder- 1 tsp
  • Nuts and Raisins- 1/2 cup (almonds, cashews, dry grapes)
  • Ghee- 2 tsp

1. Take a pan, pour 1/2 litre coconut milk or milk and boil it.
2. Take another pan and pour 2 tsp ghee & roast the dry fruits.
3. Add the boiled macaroni in milk & add 1 cup jaggery; keep on stirring to avoid sticking to the bottom until it boils & desired consistency is reached.
4. Add nuts and raisins, cardamom powder.
5. Now macaroni kheer is ready to taste. Serve hot or cold.

 Note: The macaroni should boil very well or else it will not absorb sweetness.
