Paper dosa


Paper dosa - ನೀರ್ ದೋಸೆ 

Ingredients:

White rice- 1 cup
Grated coconut- 1/4 cup (optional)
Salt to taste
Water

Method:

1. Soak rice for about 4-5 hours.
2. Grind it into a smooth paste by adding coconut, salt and adequate amount of water.
3. Adjust the consistancy like that of buttermilk by adding water.
4. Heat the tava and put few drops of oil or ghee & spread it by using half an onion; take a ladleful of batter; spread it on the tava so that it forms a thin uniform layer.
(Note: If you are using non stick tava don't use oil or ghee.)

5. Once the dosa is cooked, carefully remove using a flat spatula by folding (first fold it into half and then quarter after that) and transfer it to a serving plate; no need of flip it to other side.
6. Now paper dosa is ready to serve; serve hot with any chutney or sambar.

Note: 
  • Addition of coconut is optional.
  • Paper dosa is delicate so be carefull while handling.
  • Paper dosa remains white; does not turn brown when cooked.
  • You can see lots of holes in the dosa.
