Gulab jamun is one of the popular and simple dessert


Gulab jamun mix (available in market)- 1 cup
Sugar- 1 cup
Cardamom powder- ¼ tsp
Ghee / Oil to fry


1. To 1 cup of gulab jamun mix add required amount of water; kneed to prepare a smooth dough. Keep it aside for about 5 minutes.
2. Now make small, smooth balls out of the dough without any cracks; the balls should not be sticky.
3. Prepare sugar syrup by adding equal amount of sugar(1 cup) and water(1 cup). The syrup should be slightly sticky not thread consistency. Add cardamom powder.
4. Heat ghee or oil in pan; deep fry the jamuns till golden brown and let them cool.
5. Soak the fried jamuns in hot sugar syrup until they completely absorb sugar syrup.
6. After about 15-30 minutes serve the gulab jamuns with sugar syrup.
