Rava Laddu / Rave Unde

Rava Laddu / Rave Unde - ರವಾ ಲಡ್ಡು  / ರವೆ ಉಂಡೆ 

I prepared this recipe to finish some left over coconut. I thought from morning to evening and prepared this recipe. It's good for me because my son likes to eat something while travelling. He keep on asking me until we reach.


Semolina / Rava- 1 cup
Grated coconut- 1/4 cup
Sugar- 1/2 cup
Ghee-  4 tblsp
Water- 1/4 cup
Cashew nuts & Almonds(finely chopped)- 2 tbl sp
Raisins- 2 tbl sp
Cardamom powder- ¼ tsp


1. Heat 2 tblsp of ghee in a pan and roast the rava for about 5 minutes in a low flame.
2. Take 1 tbl sp ghee in a pan; roast the cashews, almonds, raisins & grated coconut separately.

3. Dissolve the sugar in water and prepare lightly one thread consistency.
4. Now add roasted rava, cashews, raisins, grated coconut & cardamom powder. Stir continuously. Let it cool for few minutes.
5. When it is still warm prepare laddus by applying  little ghee to your palm.

6. Store it in an airtight container.

Note: I have added little less sugar and you can adjust according to your taste.
