Potato Murukku


 Potato Murukku - ಆಲೂಗಡ್ಡೆ  ಮುರುಕು 

Ingredients:

Chopped potato- 1 cup
Rice flour- 1 cup
Asafoetida- pinch
Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
Chilly powder- 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil to fry

Method:

1. Cook the potatos, peel off.
2. Take potatos in a mixer jar; add rice flour, asafoetida, chilly powder & salt and mix it for about 2 min. (dont add water).
3. Now add cumin seeds.
4. Take small balls of dough and insert into chakli maker.
5. Heat the oil. When it is smoking hot; press the mould over oil until enough batter comes out.
6. Fry until golden brown, remove it, let it comes to room temperature and then store in an air tight container.
