Kokum rasam/Punarpuli saaru

 Kokum rasam/Punarpuli saaru - ಪುನರ್ಪುಳಿ ಸಾರು  

Ingredients:

Kokum- 4-5 (dried or fresh)
Green chilly-1
Ginger- One small piece
Jaggery- Small lemon sized
Rasam powder- 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Red chilly- 1
Mustard- 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves- 1 strand
Ghee/Oil- 1 tblsp

Method:

1. Boil kokum in 1 ltr water for about 10 min. If you are using dried kokum; soak it in water for about 30 min before boiling.

2.Add chopped green chilly, crushed ginger, jaggery, rasam powder, salt and boil further for few more min.

3. Heat ghee in a pan and tamper with red chilly, mustard seeds & curry leaves.
