Coconut vada


Coconut vada - ಕಾಯಿ ವಡೆ 

Ingredients:

Rice flour- 1 cup
Grated coconut- 1 cup
Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil to fry

Method:

1. Take rice flour, coconut, salt in a mixer jar and prepare a smooth thick batter by adding little amount of water.
(You can also use soaked white rice instead of rice flour)
2. Add cumin seeds.
3. Put little amount of oil on the plastic sheet and spread it over the sheet.
4. Make small sized balls from the dough.
5. Pat them on the plastic sheet.
6. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the vada until golden brown colour.
7. Let it comes to room temperature and then store in an air tight container.
